AT&T Internet Service

AT&T PremierSERV Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) is a high-speed, “always on” digital, dedicated connection.

AT&T Internet Services (ATTIS) PremierSERV DIA is based on a Cisco-Powered Network. All ATTIS POPs are designed to Carrier-Class Standards. ATTIS owns a state-of-the-art OC-192c National IP Network, providing for diversely routed OC-192c circuits engineered to facilitate fiber and hardware redundancies and accommodate any network or hardware facility failures.

All ATTIS Central Offices (COs) and POPs are dual-redundant in power and connectivity. Supplemental power-generating facilities eliminate long-term power outages and rolling blackouts. ATTIS’s recommended network design provides redundancy at all links and access points; therefore, you will not experience any single points of failure. ATTIS Dedicated Internet Access provides for redundant core switches and backbone routers, as well as maintenance spares for all critical components at all POPs. (ATTIS) provides full service support to its.

Installation is implemented by the Dedicated Provisioning Team and includes:

  • Access Line – installed and tested
  • IP Connectivity – for each installation, a Customer Service Activation appointment is scheduled to verify IP connectivity to the ATTIS network
  • Domain Name System (DNS) Registration – ATTIS will handle the registration process (but not the registration fee) of up to three DNS domain names free of charge. Additional DNS name registrations require an additional $100 processing charge (does not include fee for rejection).
Note: AT&T Connecticut customers have a one-time set-up fee of $200 per domain name. There is no additional charge for DNS services after the initial set-up.
  • Domain Name System (DNS) Services – ATTIS provides Primary DNS service for three domain names for free. There is a $100 charge for establishing Primary DNS service per additional domain name after the initial 3 domain names. There is a $50 charge per domain name for change requests made on a customer’s existing domain name after the customer’s initial DNS request. Secondary DNS is offered currently at no charge to DIA customers. Reverse Delegation is offered currently at no charge to DIA customers.
  • Customer Premise Equipment – ATTIS will provide and install a preconfigured router for all Complete and Essential customers. For Complete customers, this includes configuring the Cisco Firewall security services.

Monitoring tools send a ping to your router every 5 minutes to ensure your Internet connection is up. If this ping is unsuccessful, our tools will automatically notify the GCSC that there is a potential issue with your Internet connection – and further investigation commences immediately.

The ATTIS Global Customer Service Center will notify you, via email and/or alpha page, if your service is affected by an unexpected outage or scheduled maintenance.
