Basic Business Lines
Basic Business Lines, more commonly known as Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) lines, supply a single voice-grade communication channel for telephones, key systems, modems, and other supporting hardware that requires access to a Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). Basic Business Lines are ideal for small and large companies that require affordable and flexible telephone services.
Installing and setting up a Basic Business Line is fast and simple; no special technical expertise or additional training is required. High-end service providers usually augment their packages with more modern telephony technology; however, all providers typically include voice mail services, high security messaging platforms, and additional managing tools.
Local Calling Services Technology
Some providers offer additional features aside from the modern local calling services, such as call display, call forwarding, call waiting, visual call waiting, caller ID, three-way calling, and speed dialing. A call answer feature allows you receive voice messages when you’re on the phone or away from the office, and call forwarding enables you to forward your calls to any other phone to receive important calls wherever you go. Each local business line provides access to the network for local calling. In addition, it enables clients to access the network of designated carriers for placing long distance calls, eliminating the need to update existing telephone systems and numbers.
Uninterrupted Internet Access
Basic Business Lines are also compatible for DSL High Speed Internet access within served locations. This allows “always on” access to the Internet without interfering with the normal operation of your telephone line. In other words, you can always be online, even while you are using your business line for a voice call.
