Integrated Access
Integrated T1 services provide a way for businesses to run multiple services – such as voice, Internet and data – over one line. With Integrated T1, a business can run several services, such as local telephone, long-distance telephone, Internet, and Voice over IP (VoIP) over a single circuit at the same time.
Due to its flexibility, Integrated T1 services are very popular with businesses that require less than 20 phone lines, and don’t need full T1 Internet access (although Integrated T1 Internet access speeds are faster than dial-up, ISDN or satellite.)
Unlike regular T1 service, integrated T1 connections require sophisticated service provider equipment to split the 24 channels into diverse services. Likewise, customers also require equipment – typically provided for free by the Phone Company – capable of separating the individual channels in order to access the delivered services over the T1 circuit.
